FAQs

The properites of anodizing were broadened with the development of hard-anodizing processes. However, the problems of environmental concerns, wear, corrosion, heat and electrical resistance persist.   Massachusetts-based Microplasmic Corporation was formed in 1994 to address these problems. It is an R & D firm focused on the development of new surface-coating technologies for various metals.

Mr. Jerry Patel, President and CEO, has assembled an environmentally concerned staff of scientists, engineers and technicians to probe the possibilities of developing a ceramic-coating process using Micro Arc Oxidation technology. This proprietary break-through process, the Microplasmic Process (ibid. MPP). was developed through the combined application of material engineering, chemistry, physics and Micro Arc Oxidation. Currently, Microplasmic is able to successfully coat aluminum, magnesium, tantalum, titanium, and zirconium and their alloys.

The staff of Microplasmic Corporation is available to discuss the potential of MPP.
